Just weeks away from the release of their highly-anticipated full length, No Place of Warmth, death metal contemporaries Frozen Soul have shared a dramatic final preview with the reveal of the music video for "Deathweaver."
The mammoth, four-minute clobbering showcases the band's gargantuan sound, asserting a modern take on timeless death metal. In addition to the bruising soundtrack, the band have submitted one of their most ambitious music video presentations, sourcing elements of beloved anime like Ninja Scroll and Noise Marines from Warhammer, as well as classic horror imagery to craft something artistically unsettling.
Vocalist Chad Green shared of the project, “In the end, the video is about a woman that is centuries old, and in her eyes she is forever chasing her dream of creating the perfect harp. In reality, she is using the flesh, bones, veins, and nerves of her victims (us performing) to make this bone harp—the end reveal is nuts!”. I also had a ton of fun working with my childhood friend Eric from Mile High Animation on the design of the harp, he 3D printed it in pieces then I put it together, painted and gored it up with the help of Sam!”
The final preview of from No Place of Warmth completes a promo run up that included serious firepower in the way of collaborative tracks with Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and Rob Flynn from Machine Head. Produced by Josh Schroeder, Frozen Soul looks to build on the acclaim of their 2023 breakout, Glacial Domination, and cement their place among the genre greats with an all-time classic.
Along with the arrival of the latest single in "Deathweaver," Frozen Soul are set to kick off an extensive U.S. tour supporting Avatar and Fleshgod Apocalypse. The run begins tonight (April 16th) in Sacramento, CA and wraps May 20th in Hampton Beach, NH. See a complete list of dates and cities below. Get tickets - HERE
