Featuring a collective members from Never Ending Game, Simulakra, and Scarab, while melding the hardcore DNA of Philly, Delaware and the greater Michigan scenes, Gridiron have quickly become one of the genre's most sought after units. What began as a passion project to work out the creative itch during the pandemic has since grown to become a powerful entity all its own.
Underscoring that fact, Gridiron has announced their campaign on Blue Grape Music, joining the likes of Code Orange, GEL, Spiritual Cramp and more. Confirming the May 30th release of Poetry From Pain, the album will mark a pivotal new plateau in the band's skyrocketing ascent.
Coupled with the news of the full length, Gridiron has shared a combative new single from the LP with the track, "Mascot". Paired with a new visual directed by Dan Centrone that features the band mobbing through the streets of Los Angeles, the hard-hitting, unflinching aggression of Gridiron is on full display, previewing the impact of the album to come.
The arrival of Poetry From Pain will coincide with the band's appearance at Tied Down Detroit on May 31st and June 1st. Leading up to the release, the band will be on the road joining the likes of Power Trip, Sanguisugabogg and 200 Stab Wounds for a run of dates which will also include a festival play at Sonic Temple in Ohio in May. See the list of dates and cities below.
