Featuring a collective members from Never Ending Game, Simulakra, and Scarab, while melding the hardcore DNA of Philly, Delaware and the greater  Michigan scenes, Gridiron have quickly become one of hardcore's fastest rising outfits.

En route to the May 30th arrival of the band's Blue Grape Music full length debut, Poetry From Pain, Gridiron continue their assault with another pummeling preview of the album. Following effective showings with "Mascot," "Still Playin For Keeps" featuring Daniel Son, Pro Dillinger, + Jay Royale and the brass tacks of "Talk Real," it's clear that Gridiron is out to set a high bar for modern hardcore.

On the latest serving from the album, the emphatic opening cut in "26/9" features the hip hop delivery of vocalist Matthew Karll, set to a clobbering metallic hardcore cadence built on burly guitars, powerful percussion and pace guaranteed to ignite the pit.

The band's Matthew Karll explained how the track is indicative of the album and offers a proper introduction by setting the tone as the first cut."'26/9' is about always raising your personal bar, never settling, and continuing to level up and push yourself to the limit, something we set out to accomplish with this track and record."

The arrival of Poetry From Pain will coincide with the band's appearance at Tied Down Detroit on May 31st and June 1st. Leading up to the release, the band will be on the road joining the likes of Power Trip, Sanguisugabogg and 200 Stab Wounds for a run of dates which will also include a festival play at Sonic Temple in Ohio in May.

Additionally, Gridiron have just been confirmed for the return of the Summer Slaughter Tour along with Hatebreed, Fugitive, Malevolence, Escuela Grind, Snuffed On Sight and Incite. See the complete list of dates below.
