Watch newly released live sets from Khemmis, Conjurer, Wake and Sunburster all captured by essential videographer and archivist, Sunny Singh.
Earlier this spring, modern doom practitioners Khemmis set out on their Deceiver North America MMXXIII Tour. The run saw Khemmis hit the road in support of their widely-acclaimed 2021 full length, Deceiver, and coincided with the 2023 release of their two-song EP Where The Cold Wind Blows.
The North American tour touted a staggering supporting line-up, featuring UK sludge/post-metal sensation Conjurer out in support of their lauded 2022 effort, Pathos. Additionally, Canadian extreme metal outfit WAKE joined the run along with Philly’s emerging unit, Sunburster.
In an effort to preserve the power of the epic line-up, the May 6th tour stop at Underground Arts in Philadelphia was filmed and has since been archived by renowned videographer and documentarian, Sunny Singh of Hate5Six.
All four sets from each of the touring artists on May 6th were filmed and edited by Sunny and each band’s performance was tracked by KHEMMIS front-of-house Aaron Kelly, who also mixed Khemmis’ headlining set. CONJURER, WAKE, and SUNBURSTER performances were mixed by Bryan Batiste.
