Regarded as a veteran and respected as a trailblazer, few people in the current era of heavy music ride as hard for new blood as Jamey Jasta. At the helm of metallic hardcore OGs Hatebreed, Jasta has long been an advocate of not only respecting the community that raised him, but also looking out for a propping up the next generation of bands making their way.
It makes perfect sense that Hatebreed is now carrying the torch for the resurrected Summer Slaughter Tour. Building a brand known for combining legends and exciting new blood, the refreshed look of the 2025 edition of the Summer Slaughter Tour positions Hatebreed on the top line supported by an army of heavy music's next on deck.
The annual caravan is set to kick of July 8th in St. Petersburg, FL. and close out July 28th in Grand Rapids, MI. With featured stops along the way like Dallas, Pittsburg, Philly and Detroit, the run will feature an all-killer, no filler supporting slate with sets on select dates from Bleeding Through along with Fugitive, Gridiron, Malevolence, Incite, Escuela Grind and Snuffed on Sight - on brand in bolstering new blood.
Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta relayed his excitement in heading such a important tradition. "A new era of Summer Slaughter has begun. Huge thanks to Ash and the Sumerian team for their belief and support. Myself and Sound Talent Group are excited to be working with them going forward and taking the tour worldwide.
It's been years since Hatebreed has done a Summer tour in the U.S. and Summer Slaughter is the perfect return for us. The tour has always catapulted the newest and brightest talent to new heights and we'll be continuing in that tradition while expanding in size and scope. Let the slaughter begin AGAIN!"
Tour founder and Sumerian Records' Ash Avildsen expressed the full circle moment in securing Hatebreed for this run. "I've always wanted Hatebreed to headline Summer Slaughter since the inception of the tour many years ago. Jasta and the band have always curated and built community across different sub-genres in the world of heavy underground music like very few others have been able to. I am thrilled it's finally happening on Slaughter with Hatebreed at the top. Now, is the time!"
