The mathematics of one of heavy music's most revered and revelrous destinations in France's Hellfest is nothing short of staggering. Set for June 27th through the 30th in Clisson, the event will amass nearly 200 bands spanning punk, hardcore and various subgenre of hard rock and metal stretched across six stages.
The sold out annual tradition is widely regarded as one of the most important cultural events of the year and consistently pieces together the kind of historic line-ups that always have the potential to make for a defining moment.
Attempting to top the 2023 installment which featured the likes of Slipknot and Iron Maiden among their headlining names, 2024 has come out swinging with a triple-digit band roster that features a mammoth top line with Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Foo Fighters and Machine Head all anchoring their own respective date.
Hellfest also features a healthy contingent of veteran names showcasing their solo efforts with Corey Taylor, Bruce Dickinson and Tom Morello all showcasing selections fromtheir own catalog. Among the additional highlights from the first wave of confirmed bands, Megadeth, Queens of the Stone Age, The Prodigy, Mr. Bungle, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir and Emperor will also serve as major festival draws.
Sensations like Babymetal, Bad Omens, Enter Shikari and Frank Cater and the Rattlesnakes will also be on hand. A strong show of punk will also bolster the bill with legends like Suicidal Tendencies, Dropkick Murphys, Cocksparrer and The Offspring also confirmed for the fest.
Ensuring the next generation is also brought into focus, Hellfest has secured sets from emerging artists like City Morgue, Scowl, Show Me the Body, Sanguisugabogg and Brand of Sacrifice just to name a few.
