The run will include an appearance at Austin’s Levitation Fest and precedes the band’s pending ninth studio album.
Rock heavy stalwart Matt Pike and High On Fire are set to mark their silver anniversary with an abbreviated fall tour set to kick off next month. Anchored by an appearance at Austin’s famed Levitation Fest alongside the likes of Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, Pelican, King Woman, Unwound and many more, High On Fire will take on an additional 7 headlining dates spanning the Southwest.
“Who is ready to rip it up?!”, said the band in a statement. “High on Fire is primed and ready to rock and continue celebrating our 25th Anniversary with family, friends, and fans. See you at the shows!”
In addition to the milestone celebration for the band, High On Fire have enlisted Pallbearer to sweeten the deal, making for a run of can’t-miss shows as the band put the finishing touches on their pending ninth studio release.
Working with acclaimed producer Kurt Ballou of Converge in Salem, Massachusetts, High On Fire has wrapped the anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Electric Messiah and will officially introduce drummer Coady Willis (Melvins, Big Business, Murder City Devils) on his first recorded effort with the band since his arrival in 2021.
The band has released a couple of teaser videos ahead of the official announcement. The album is expected to see an early 2024 launch via MNRK Heavy.
