The track is featured on the forthcoming full length, ‘Bound For Glory’ due out this September via Better Noise Music.
Houston genre-bender Hyro the Hero has again asserted his diversity and the depth of his influences with his latest preview of his upcoming September LP, Bound for Glory, due out September 15th via Better Noise Records. Showcasing his lifetime connection to hip hop and the legends of the culture, Hyro has taken on a classic with a rousing, rock-forward rendition of the Busta Rhymes anthem, “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check”.
“‘Woo Hah’ is my shout out to the old school classic hip-hop that made me,” explains Hyro. “It’s a Hyro the Hero-style spin on a track that taught me how to recognize the importance of standing out as an artist compared to everyone else. Busta Rhymes was spitting fire on this track, so you know I had to come correct.”
The Houston native’s latest release showcases his dynamic, defiant take on the conventional rock record. Working with venerated producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead), the 12-track presentation includes a star-studded cast of collaborators, underscoring Hyro’s extensive reach. Among the contributors featured on Bound for Glory include the likes of David Draiman (Disturbed), Brandon Saller (Atreyu), Spencer Charnas and Dan Sugarman (Ice Nine Kills), Chad Gray (Mudvayne/Hellyeah), AJ Channer (Fire From The Gods) and more.
Coinciding with the release of Bound for Glory, Hyro the Hero will embark on a tour supporting Nothing More on their Spirits 2023 trek. The trek will include support from Dead Poet Society and Post Profit. The tour kicks off September 8th in Nashville, TN and will include a hometown set in Houston, TX on September 15th, the very same day Bound for Glory arrives. Dates and cities cane be found below.
