In Hearts Wake Drop Explosive New Single, "Orphan (lᴉʌǝp ǝɥʇ)"

The Austrailian metalcore unit releases their sixth studio album, Incarnation, via UNFD next month.

Earlier this year, In Hearts Wake confirmed the July 12th arrival of their sixth studio album, Incarnation, via UNFD. Along with the announcement, the band submitted the powerful introductory single in "Hollow Bone" - setting a high bar of expectation for the album with an entry that functioned like a kick in the teeth.

Hellbent on leveling up their volatility, In Hearts Wake have unfathomably ratcheted up the intensity with the second single, "Orphan (lᴉʌǝp ǝɥʇ)". Showcasing a kind of eviscerating quality, the track is four minutes of controlled chaos. Savage breakdowns, accents of drum and bass, frenzied riffs and hellacious vocals make for a consuming single that makes a strong case that In Hearts Wake have achieved a new plateau.

The band explain creative headspace that loan itself to the very apparent urgency of the track."'Orphan' is the fear, fury and frustration whilst watching the systemic serpent eat its own tail. Writhing in the shadows of the human psyche and psychotic in nature. Stuck in my mind. Like and subscribe. Eating everything inside."

The band further detail how real life anxieties factor into the metaphor of a snake eating itself. "Eco-grief induced anxiety. The rapid rise of tech, mono crops, and mass production. All in the name of growth and profit. Is it evolution or de-evolution? Who's to say? Orphaned into a world that cannot raise us, we often feel like victims of ancestral fate... and yet somehow we chose this."

Incarnation marks a new chapter for In Hearts Wake. Last year, the band proved triumphant with their Decade Of Divination tour in addition to a highlight appearance at UNIFY Off The Record. That momentum has carried over with the band's upcoming US trek with Miss May I as well as their Incarnation headlining run in Australia later this year.

The album also marks the final chapter for bassist/vocalist Kyle Erich who will take a final bow with the band this September with the band's headlining Australia dates serving as his final shows with the band. See the complete list of dates and cities below. Get tickets - HERE
