Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan Among the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this November. 

Making right what had largely been considered a massive snub after earning nominations in both 2021 and 2023, Iron Maiden has been selected to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The legendary heavy metal pillars who are currently out commemorating their 50th anniversary as a band on the Run For Your Lives World Tour,  issued a statement expressing their gratitude for the fans and congratulating their fellow inductees. 

Among the 2026 class, the Rock hall will enshrinethree first time nominess, with Luther Vandross, Phil Collins for his solo work and the Wu-Tang Clan each punching their ticket on their first time up. 

Rounding out the field of inductees, Brit alt heroes Oasis have been confirmed along with jazz/R&B icon, Sade with post punk/new wave legends Joy Division / New Order also earning their spot among the class of 2026.

The Rock Hall also published their list of Early Influence Award winners with the likes of Queen Latifah, Celia Cruz, Gram Parsons, MC Lyte and Fela Kuti taking home the honors. Under the Musical Excellence category, the field of winners includes legendayr producer Rick Rubin, Linda Creed, Arif Mardin and Jimmy Miller. Honoring the iconic Ed Sulliav, the Rock Hall has named the him the recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award. 

The official induction ceremony is set for November 14th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. There broadcast will air in December on the ABC network and stream via Disney+.
