Emerging from the tri-state are as one modern metalcore's promising examples of new blood, Float Omen have spent the last few years cutting their teeth as one of the go-to's in the region. Supporting the likes of Kaonashi, Varials and Orthodox, the Jersey-based six-pack have earned acclaim for their compelling live shows and their polished brand of poignant aggression.

Presenting a promising introduction with 2021's, Flightless, I've Dreamt of The Sky, the band would better refine their sound with the 2022 follow-up EP, Means to An End - going from budding to blue chip with the kind of songwriting that showed maturity well beyond their years.

Augmenting the band's creative chemistry with the strides gained from more live dates, Float Omen have circled back after a brief reset to debut another compelling example of emotive metalcore. On "Among the Waves", the band brings together introspective lyrics with succinct composition on a track that hits hard both in substance and sound.

Speaking to the depth of the track beyond the powerful percussion and stylized strings, frontman Vinny Noto explains, “Above The Waves is a powerful anthem to us; it reflects the depths of despair but lifts you up with a message of hope. The imagery is meant to set the stage for introspection and compels you to rise above and embrace the light - no matter how far you’ve fallen."
