Perth heavy progressives Karnivool have confirmed their fourth full length album, In Verses - an effort more than a decade in the making. Due out February 6th via Cymatic Records / The Orchard, the album was completed with the help of longtime collaborator Forrester Savell and marks the band's first full length studio release since their lauded 2013 full length, Asymmetry.
Putting the machine into motion earlier this summer, the band released the powerful single, "Drone," signaling the beginning of their modern era and ramping up excitement of a potential new album. Confirming the news, Karnivool has shared a second single to officially begin the countdown to February with the release of a live set staple in "Aozora"
Having already become integrated into the band's live set, the single is coupled with a compelling performance video that underscores the band's live prowess and their genuine connection with fans that remain nothing less than purely convinced - Karnivool remains at the very top of their game.
“The whole theme for that song is escaping, or waiting to escape,” offers vocalist Ian Kenny. "Trying to find a way to escape yourself. The idea of finding freedom in the blue. Trying to find freedom amongst the complications of just being human. We’re so weird, you know? Trying to understand that at different times along the road, sometimes you end up with more questions than answers.”
En route to the 2026 release, Karnivool is set for a celebratory Australian tour which includes dates that have already sold out. The Ad Complementum kicks off with back-to-back nights in Perth on October 16th and 17th - both of which are sold out. The trek concludes with a set at Be Social Fest in Cairns on October 25th. See a list of dates and cities below.
