Earlier this year, metal marked the return of one its most pioneering bands in the last generation. 25 years since the release of their lauded studio debut, Spit, Kittie ushered in their modern era, announcing their signing to Sumerian Records and debuting their first showing of new music in well over a decade.
Working with accomplished producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Korn), "Eyes Wide Open" marked the band's first new entry in 13 years. Kittie would then double down with second powerful single in "We Are Shadows". With the band's signature heft and poignant lyrical breadth on full display, emphasized that not only was Kittie back, but they were operating at arguably their very best yet.
As Kittie continues to ramp up, the band has steadily added more festival dates to their itinerary with confirmed plays at this weekend's Sick New World in Las Vegas, as well as Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple and Festival d'Été de Québec later this summer just to name a few.
In addition to the band's festival calendar, Kittie has now announced headlining plans of their own. Dubbed simply, Fire 2024, Kittie will set out on a focused run of headlining dates, touching down in select markets in North America this summer.
The slate of headlining dates will feature an outstanding collection of supportiing sets from the likes of Unearthn, Upon A Burning Body, Vile Creature, Within the Ruins, VCTMS, Conquer Divide and more.
The band expressed their excitement to hit the road and share the lifespan of Kittie, from the classic to the contemporary era.
