Set to embark on their sold out North American tour, Knocked Loose continue their 2024 tear. The band has mounted a commanding rollout for their eagerly awaited full length effort, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To due out May 10th via Pure Noise Records - having debuted a pair of profound singles thus far in "Blinding Faith" and the groove heavy assault of "Don't Reach for Me".
Following the band's recent pop-up show at The Midnight Hour upon their return stateside from a dominate European run with Deafheaven and Headbussa, Knocked Loose have again rallied their momentum ahead of the start of their headlining North American headlining tour and their appearance at Sick New World.
Amplifying the anticipation of what has already earned AOTY potential, Knocked Loose have debuted their collaboration with Poppy in what is undeniably a new sonic achievement for hardcore collective that put Louisville on the map. "Suffocate" offers a meld of hulking percussion, menacing guitars and strangely danceable breaks - punctuated by commanding performances from vocalist Bryan Garris with Poppy as his counter.
The track which examines the weight of betrayal allowed the band to bolster their arsenal with the addition of Poppy's voice on the track.
It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn't do in another song,” guitarist Isaac Hale says of the track. “We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”
You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To serves as the culmination of the band meteoric rise in recent years. Knocked Loose has been at the forefront of the sound, pushing the ethos and culture of hardcore in a way that has pierced the greater mainstream culture reached an ever-growing fanbase while earning universal acclaim.
Enlisting the expertise of Grammy-nominated, genre flouting producer Drew “WZRD BLD” Fulk whose resume oscillates from from Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa and Kevin Gates to Motionless In White, Papa Roach and Disturbed, Knocked Loose have revisited the creative chemistry the pairing first achieved with the release of 2023 powerful preview in Upon Loss.
Coupled with the rollout of You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To, Knocked Loose is set to embark on one of the most anticipated tours of the year. Teaming with Show Me The Body, Loathe and Speed, Knocked Loose will headline a North American run that is entirely sold in nearly every city scheduled on the run.
