En route to deliver their tenth full length studio album March 13th, Lamb of God have shared the final preview of the album with that track that combines equal parts reflection and relentlessness. "Blunt Force Blues" follows "Sepsis," "Parasocial Christ" and the album's title track as the latest selection from Into Oblivion, the highly anticipated LP that is already sharping up to be an album of the contender.
Brandishing massive riffs, bombastic percussion and the unmistakable vocal command of frontman Randy Blythe, "Blunt Force Blues" serves as a tribute to the band's Richmond, VA roots, paying homage to the early musical bedrock that would function as Lamb of God's musical foundation. Randy Blythe would explain how home continues to have a lasting impact on the band,
“We learned how to play by watching and hanging out with other local dudes. That’s what we aspired to do – keep up with good local bands. They were just as much of an influence on us as any of the bigger bands from different cities.”
The arrival of "Blunt Force Blues" marks the final preview of Into Oblivion as the band charge ahead towards the March 13th arrival date. Adding to their momentum in what will no doubt be a career year, Lamb of God recently announced a series of nationwide listening parties to celebrate the launch of Into Oblivion. With more than 140 local record retailers participating across the country, the band further cements their rank high atop the heavy music hierarchy.
