North Carolina straight-edge hardcore standouts Magnitude have released the details of their pending sophomore studio album due out September 15th via Triple B Records. Of Days Renewed marks the band’s first delivery of new music in four years and follows their celebrated 2019 studio debut, To Whatever Fateful End, which propelled the band to new heights among the dedicated hardcore community.
Last month, Magnitude offered the first sample of their next era, unveiling the potent standalone track, “Rectify” – unloading a haymaker and hinting at the volatility to come. Coupled with the confirmation and arrival date of the self-produced effort, Of Days Renewed, Magnitude has delivered the anthemic title track, underscoring the band’s reaffirming message and whole-hearted conviction that characterizes their brand.
Magnitude vocalist Russel Bussey spoke about the subtext of the single and how it signifies the themes that exist throughout the new album. “Of Days Renewed is a song for anyone who feels lost, broken, or hopeless. We are all destined to experience dark times in our lives. I wanted to write a song pulling from some of the darkest times I’ve made it through and incorporate some of the thoughts that pushed me forward.
To me ‘dreaming of days renewed’ is transfixing on a dream of better days and using that dream to push you through the darkness. It’s a commitment to yourself to continue pushing forward until the end.”
Shortly following the release of Of Days Renewed… Magnitude are set to perform at the Triple B Records showcase on October 1st in Brooklyn, NY along with a legendary line-up that includes Madball, Terror, Killing Time, Mindforce, Twitching Tongues, Soul Search, Crown of Thornz and more.
