Danish metal Gods Mercyful Fate have marked the mammoth milestone of the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album Melissa with the news of the first digital release of the 2005 remastered edition - previously only available in physical format.
The iconic album saw it's refresh in 2005 by Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound in NYC and has since been absent from preferred DSPs. Now, for the first time ever, the edition Melissa is now available to stream worldwide on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and more!
Additionally, Mercyful Fate has refreshed their merch store with a collection of speciality Melissa-themed items to coincide with the 40th anniversary.
Mercyful Fate is currently completing work on their highly-anticipated new studio album which thus far has been previewed by the release of "The Jackal Of Salzburg". The track became a fixture of the band's live set during their extensive live run in 2022.
The band made their triumphant return to the stage with appearances at Bloodstock (UK), Wacken Open Air (DE), Hills of Rock Fest (BG), Tuska Open Air (FI), Rock the Castle (IT), Hellfest (FR), Copenhell (DK), Graspop (BE), Sweden Rock Festival (SE), and Mystic Festival (PL), bookended by a North America headlining tour that saw the icons supported by Kreator and Midnight.
