Watch the gripping visual for "Stormcrow" helmed by director Claudio Marino for Artax Film.

Swedish blackened death metal titans Necrophobic are gearing up to release their tenth studio album, In the Twilight Grey, on March 15, 2023, through Century Media Records. To kick off the anticipation, the band has unveiled "Stormcrow," the album's powerful first single, complete with a music video directed by Claudio Marino for Artax Film.

The band shared insights into the creation of "Stormcrow," revealing it as one of the initial tracks written for the album. They aimed to fuse classic Necrophobic elements with a heavy metal-influenced slow-paced bridge. Lyrically, the song delves into the narrative of a wounded beast and a winged ‘truth sayer,’ exploring themes of trust and caution in the dissemination of words.

In the Twilight Grey is now open for pre-orders in various formats, including a limited deluxe gatefold combat green 2LP with a booklet and poster, gatefold LPs in black and dark green, a limited CD Mediabook with extended booklet and bonus tracks, a standard CD Jewelcase, and a digital album. Pre-orders are available HERE

For In the Twilight Grey, the band collaborated with producer, mixer, and master Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios in Stockholm. The album's creation was a joint effort between Folkare and the band, ensuring a sound that is quintessentially Necrophobic. The band also reunited with Jens Rydén for the album's artwork, further cementing their connection with the Swedish metal scene's creative forces. The album's artwork, crafted by Jens Rydén, reflects the dark and enigmatic themes of the record.
