Earlier this year, Australian powerhouse Northlane revealed they had reunited with veteran producer Will Putney. Having an established track record of success with Norhtlane, working on the band's celebrated albums including Singularity in 2013 and Node just two years later, the tandem was looking to recapture that lighting in a bottle nearly a decade later.
Having delivered their most ambitious, expansive work to date with 2022's Obsidian, Northlane were creative healthy more than ever - which seemed like the best time to reconnect with one of the most trusted collaborative allies.
Officially marking a new era for the band, Northlane have shared the first single since reuniting with Will Putney in "Dante". Referring to the track as "4D on Steroids", the genesis of the single was never intended for Northlane. Written by guitarist and songwriter Jon Deiley as a separate dance track, the single managed to pique the interest of the band enough to adopt it and make it their own.
The band would spend nearly a year shaping the track to fit with their stylistic signature. The end result is a immersive track with a pulsating backbone and a soaring chorus, fitting of a band beginning a new creative phase in an already storied career.
Northlane is set to share the new single live early next year as the band is set to embark on their only Australian headlining tour of 2024. The run will include supporting sets from Erra, Landmvrks and Banks Arcade. See the list of dates and cities below.
