The festivities leading up to the final ever performance from Ozzy Osbourne at Back to the Beginning in Birmingham this July have received another itinerary item.
The once-in-a-lifetime mega event that will feature a reunion of the original line up of Black Sabbath along with performances from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Lamb of God, Halestorm, Anthrax, Mastodon and many, many more and is set for July 5th at Villa Park, walking distance from where Black Sabbath first began.
The night prior to the concert, the 2020 Greg Johnston-helmed documentary The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne will finally get it's first-ever theatrical premiere on July 4th at Millennium Point in Birmingham. Proceeds from the screening event will go towards Cure Parkinson’s , Acorns Children’s Hospice and Birmingham Children’s Hospital charities. Along with the screening of the film, attendees will be able to participate in a Q & A with Jack Osbourne who will be on hand as a special guest for the presentation.

The news lands as Paramount+ has announced they are completing a new feature length documentary, Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from Now. Directed by Tania Alexander, the film began recording back in 2022 as Ozzy was hard at work on his Patient Number 9 album. Said to bookend with the completion of Ozzy's Back to the Beginning homecoming event this July, the film is an candid, intimate look at Ozzy and his health struggles that spawned from his 2019 accident and his subsequent Parkinson's Disease diagnosis.
Speaking to the weight of the film, Ozzy shared, “The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I’ve been through. There’s been times when I thought my number was up. But making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music.”
