Following the release of last year's reemergence with the sonic molotov of "Trembling Level" ushering in the Poison the Well's new era via SharpTone Records, the band has now confirmed the March 20th arrival of their first full length LP since 2009's The Tropic Rot.

Seemingly refocused and reinvigorated after a lengthy anniversary run that saw the melodic hardcore pillars revisit their celebrated 1999 entry, The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation, Poison the Well have officially begun their next chapter with the confirmation of the album after nearly two decades away with Peace in Place. Beginning the cycle with the launch of the introductory single, "Thoroughbreds," the track asserts Poison the Well have only refined their attack while away, with a single that asserts a skilled balance of melody, aggression and a poignant approach to heavy music.

Speaking to the substance between the lines, vocalists Jeffrey Moreira explained of the single, "Beasts of burden are hard to break—not because they're strong, but because they're stubborn. 'Thoroughbreds' is about realizing that some lifelong bonds don't fail early; they fail after you believed they were there to stay."

Further detailing the significance of the new album, Moreira expands on what fueled the band's first new album in nearly a generation, "Peace In Place is probably the most pissed record we've ever made. After stepping away from Poison the Well,  it felt like all the emotion from that time — frustration, heartache, disappointment — compressed into something heavy and unavoidable. But anger isn't what drives us. Connection is. Sometimes that connection starts in darker places, and having an outlet for those emotions is how we find our way forward. This record lives across that entire spectrum. It’s about turning something negative into something honest, putting it into the world, and realizing that even in anger, we’re still capable of moving forward, relating to each other, and finding some form of peace—if not happiness, then at least a place to stand."

Enlisting the renowned Frank Maddocks to collaborate with the band on the album's cover art, the long-awaited presentation serves as an important milestone in the band's storied career and officially positions Peace In Place as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
