The curated event headlined by the Aussie collective will include supporting sets from We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder, Ocean Sleeper, Caskets and more.

Australian metalcore progressives Polaris have unveiled their summer plans of their first-ever curated event in Life's A Beach. Set to take place at February 14th at the Riviera Beach Club in Melbourne, the location typically home to some of Australia's biggest electronic music events, will host a full day of heavy music with Polaris both headlining and piecing together the show.

The inaugural Life's A Beach functions two-fold for Polaris, marking the band's first-ever role as curators anchoring the top line of their own event. Life's A Beach will also bookend the band's 2023 Fatalism LP cycle, turning the page for what will be the next phase of Polaris creatively.

Along with the headlining set from Polaris, Life's A Beach will feature supporting sets from We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder, Ocean Sleeper, Caskets, Terminal Sleep, Reliqa and Headwreck.

The band's Daniel Furnari spoke of the excitement within the camp in being able to add festival curator to their resume. “Putting together an outdoor fest that we can call our own has been a little pipe-dream of ours for a while now - and this coming summer felt like the perfect time to dip our toes in, so to speak! We’ve hand-picked a killer mix of old friends from abroad and at home, some familiar favourites and some of the best up-and-coming local talent. We’re so psyched to have the chance to create a new experience for our fans in such a unique and beautiful location. We can’t wait to have a mosh as the sun goes down, and most likely throw ourselves into the waves as soon as we walk off stage! Life’s a beach baby, don’t forget it!”

The announcement of Life's A Beach adds to the band's already busy, building 2026. Set to appear at Froth and Fury Festival with bands like Soulfly and Nailbomb, Polaris will also join Parkway Drive on the 2026 Hellbound Cruise. Closing out their Fatalism run with a set on the shore in Melbourne, Polaris also recently released a mini-documentary, Forever, which frames the significance of their current cycle, including major career milestones like the band's monumental performance at Hordern Pavilion.
