Austin firebrand Portrayal of Guilt have announced their fourth full length album, ...Beginning of the End, due out April 24th via Run for Cover. The release marks the latest presentation in a succession of acclaimed releases dating back to 2021's Christfucker, the 2023 EP Devil Music and the collection of remixes and collaborations from 2024 with Christfucker II.
Having established a reputation for asserting a wide range of styles and subgenre in their audio assault, Portrayal of Guilt continues to flout category with a collection of songs that runs the gamut from ambient to alt, trip-hop to nu-metal all seamlessly combined on ...Beginning of the End.
Working in close collaboration with Phillip Odom and Will Yip, Portrayal of Guilt have again established their broad stylistic range with a mesh of sounds that source from every angle of the heavy music spectrum to create something equally distinct and dominant. Previewing the expansiveness of the album, the band have shared a pair of track with "Ecstasy" and "Human Terror" each coloring outside the lines of the conventional.
In addition to the confirmation of the new album, Portrayal of Guilt will also set out on a North American headlining tour starting in their hometown of Austin, TX shortly following the release of ...Beginning of the End. Kicking off May 9th, the tour will feature Street Sects, pageninetynine, Taraneh, Halloween and The Infinity Ring supporting select dates. Additionally, the band will be featured at this year's Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, NL next month, just days before the release of the new album
