Metallic hardcore OGs PRO-PAIN have shared a second single from their recently announced, Stone Cold Anger, the first album from the NYC veterans in some 11 years. The release marks the band's 16th studio effort and the band's first on Napalm Records.
Speaking to "March of the Giants," bassist/vocalist Gary Meskil explained, "The second single from our upcoming album, Stone Cold Anger, is 'March Of The Giants' — a song about standing tall and moving forward together to challenge oppressive forces and create real change. It was the first track completed for the new album, written with assistance from Eric Klinger and our former guitarist, Matt Sheridan."
Acknowledging the momentum the band has generated since the album announcement and first reveal, guitarist Eric Klinger added, "We are thrilled that our previous single was so well received, and we hope you equally enjoy this one. Thank you all for the overwhelming support!"
The latest offering from PRO-PAIN serves as a forceful reminder of the band's enduring tenure among New York hardcore's most revered names. Fusing sharp social commentary with bruising sonics, the band's more than three decade run is seemingly finding a second stride.
Meskil shared his gratitude in being able to still produce relevant hardcore music. "Thank you to our fans worldwide for 35 years of unwavering support. After a decade away from the recording studio, we return with Stone Cold Anger — an album forged from global tension and the rising demand for accountability."
In support of Stone Cold Anger, the band has confirmed an extensive run of live dates across Europe for the remainder of the year. Combining headlining dates and festival appearances, PRO PAIN will be on tour through the fall in support of their first release in more than a decade. See dates and cities below.
