Following the acclaimed introduction their next full length with praised singles in the post punk leaning "Pendulum" and infectious cadence of "Self Evident," Puscifer have issued the third and final preview of Normal Isn't with the track, "ImpetuoUs".
The stylishly dark, emotionally tense track underscores the broad creative range of the collective as they approach the February 6th arrival of their next full length outing. “I’m looking forward to hearing where this song takes people,” Maynard James Keenan shared. “As the writers, we forget that in a way, we are carpenters and that we’ve been with this song since it was a pile of lumber. Our Perspective may differ from the final occupant of this space we’ve constructed. Shelter, Bridge or Gallows, Coffin? Curious to find out.”
Paired with the release of the third and final preview of the album, Puscifer have also shared a new visualizer for "ImpetuoUs" that offers a glimpse into the band's companion comic book series, “Tales From The Pusciverse.” The debut issue frames Bellendia Black, the character first introduced in the “Pendulum” video.
Elaborating on the thematic significance of the album and the band's creative direction Maynard explained, “Normal Isn’t reflects this time we are living in. As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret, and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal. Not by a long shot.”
Following the release of Normal Isn't next month, Puscifer will begin a subsequent North American tour in support of the album. The run begins on March 20th in Las Vegas and will include featured stops at New York’s Terminal 5, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
