The latest in a steady succession of singles that has fruited powerful entries thus far in "Certain Uncertainty” and “Got Your Hold On Me,” accomplished songwriter and multi-talent Reba Meyers has shared another preview of their pending solo debut. 

Revealing her collaboration with the celebrated Steve Albini, Meyers asserts her more aggressive sensibilities on the single, "Clouded World". A straight ahead rock anthem that flexes a nod to heavy alt and the grittier side of grunge, Meyers proves confident and confrontational on a single that shows another shade of her creative palette. 

Meyers shared of the meaning rooted in the single, “Too many aspects of the modern human condition feel entirely over-labored and orchestrated. We have drifted far from our primal instincts and have gotten so distracted by the myriad tools at our fingertips that we forget that our human imperfections are the one thing that makes us special and unpredictable.”

The latest track is especially meaningful to Meyers as it was recorded just six months before the untimely passing of Steve Albini. “Steve championed the medium of physical recordings, and that process inherently encourages the commitment to imperfection,” emphasized Meyers. “I hope to embrace the randomness and grit of life, which includes our imperfections, as both their beauty and ugliness are often able to both inspire and teach us about our inner workings."

Moving closer to the reveal of Meyers' highly anticipated solo debut, the songwriter has now announced plans for her first ever solo tour set to begin this summer. Hitting the road with Ninth Cage, featuring members of Year of the Knife and artist/writer Kimi Malka Hanauer, the tour will begin August 12th in Philadelphia, PA and conclude with a set in San Jose, CA on August 25th.
