Rock music renegade Scene Queen has debuted a genre-bending track that combines country pop with crunching down-tuned guitars for an entertaining, playfully explicit banger.
"MILF" is the latest in a steady succession of singles in what has been a productive year for Scene Queen. Kicking of 2023 with "18+", followed by "Win Win" and the breakout "Pink Push Up Bra", the hard rock outlier continues to change the game by flouting genre lines and stylistic expectations.
Her most recent effort "MILF" doubles down on her unwillingness to conform, turning a country pop track into a hard-hitting anthem intended to stir up the pit.
The Scene Queen shared of the single, "‘MILF’ is a track I wrote to solidify that bimbocore is any and all genres but the glue that holds it together is sick riffs and chaotic Scene Queen energy. The track came about from sitting with friends and asking what if we took all the most gatekept genres and put them together. And turned into one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written."
The arrival of "MILF" also begins the campaign for Scene Queen's debut full length album, Hot Singles In Your Area - due out Spring of 2024 via Hopeless Records. The long-awaited studio album follows the success of Scene Queen's 2022 EP, Bimbocore which was followed with a second volume later the same year.
The announcement arrives as Scene Queen prepares for her first national headlining tour this week. The run extends through December 9th with play at House of Blues in Anaheim, CA and includes support from Ellise, Sophie Powers and 6arelyhuman on various dates with Rivals joining the entire trek.
