Steel City firebrand Signs of the Swarm have just detonated an absolute A-bomb of a new single with the debut of the devastating, "IWONTLETYOUDIE". The release lands as the band continue their current charge on their Decade of the Swarm tour.
The run marks the band's first proper North American headlining set and features a stellar assembly of heavy music's emerging class in Cane Hill, Ov Sulfur, 156 Silence and A Wake In Providence. The arrival of the newest single also ushers the first offering of new music since the release of the band's well-received 2023 LP, Amongst the Low & Empty.
Teaming again with producer and collaborator Josh Schroeder, the track unleashes pure devastation, asserting a visceral combination of technicality and sheer terror - the foundation of deathcore.
Drummer and songwriter Bobby Crow further explained, "'IWONTLETYOUDIE' marks the beginning of a new chapter for Signs: a story of an endless cycle of death and resurrection."
Crow continued, "We like to use the time between albums to explore new ideas and sounds. We did this on the ultra-heavy 'Unbridled,' the more moshy 'The Collection' (featuring guest shouts from Kublai Khan's Matt Honeycutt and Molotov Solution's Nick Arthur), and the eerily melodic crusher 'Pernicious.' 'IWONTLETYOUDIE' touches on all of those and more; our goal was to channel the energy of deathcore that got us excited about it in our younger year, so expect the explosiveness of 'Amongst the Low & Empty' but so much more!"
For Signs, the delivery of their latest single ramps up what has alrerady been a breakout year for the band. Following their current run, Signs with embark on a European trek on the Faces of Death Tour, sharing starges with djent/deathcore amalgam, Veil of Maya as well as special guest Varials and To the Grave.
