Slayer, Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Mötley Crüe Top Aftershock 2024

Slayer, Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Mötley Crüe Top Aftershock 2024

- By Ramon Gonzales

Just last week the world was hit with an unexpected haymaker when it was confirmed that thrash titans Slayer would reunite for their first shows in five years to headline the 10th installment of Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY in addition to a set at Riot Fest in Chicago later this year.

Now, Slayer has added to their itinerary, confirming their headlining spot at the California destination for all things heavy, for the 2024 edition of Aftershock. Back for it's 12th installment, the festival saw sold out crowds of more than 160,000 attendees last year and has done well in upping the ante.

The four day festival will feature headlining sets from the reunited Slayer, along with perennial mainstays Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Motley Crue each topping their own respective days. Aftershock will serve as the exclusive West Coast performance for Slayer, the only U.S. festival appearance for Iron Maiden and the first-ever appearance for the Crue in the more than decade long run for Aftershock.

Among the additional anchors on the bill, Aftershock is bolstered by sets from Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Judas Priest and Disturbed along with marquee fixtures like Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Falling in Reverse, Till Lindemann, Rise Against, Halestorm, Seether, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Mastodon, Anthrax, Architects, Tom Morello, Cypress Hill, Ministry and more rounding out some 130 bands over four glorious days at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA.

Single day, weekend General Admission and VIP passes for Aftershock are on sale now starting as low as $10 down. Get information - HERE. See the complete line up for Aftershock 2024 below.
