With Knotfest Australia set to invade the region next month, the festival's roster of heavy have announced plans to head their own slate of sideshows all surrounding their trio of plays at Knotfest Australia happening February 28th in Melbourne, March 2nd in Brisbane and March 8th in Sydney.
At the very top of the heap, Slipknot had already confirmed an Adelaide arena show on march 4th that has long since sold out, entirely. Now, the band have added an additional play in Auckland set for March 11th at Spark Arena with none other than Vended coming on as support.
As for the festival's direct support, A Day to Remember has announced their one and only headlining Aussie show set for March 3rd in Brisbane with special guests Thornhill and Ocean Grove set to kick things off. Japanese powerhouse Babymetal have announced a pair of their own headlining plays, taking to Brisbane on March 4th with Diamond Construct and Sydney on March 6th with Future Static.
Russian deathcore firebrand Slaughter To Prevail gets to the land down under early, kicking off the entire takeover with a headlining play in Melbourne on February 27th. Symphonic heavyweights Within Temptation head a pair of live dates, stopping in Brisbane March 3rd and Melbourne on March 6th. Enter Shikari top a trio of surrounding plays, bringing their infectious live energy to the Sunshine Coast on March 3rd, Belgrave March 5th and Newcastle on March 6th.
Pioneering hardcore crossover champions Hatebreed also head a trio of their own dates, dropping the hammer in Brisbane on March 4th, Melbourne on March 5th and Sydney at the Metro Theatre on March 7th. Metalcore stalwarts Miss May I take on two additional nights in Australia performing March 4th in Melbourne and March 5th at the Crowbar in Sydney. Des Moines aggressors Vended, in addition to their arena plays supporting Slipknot, take on a pair of their own headlining sets, with performances in Brisbane on March 4th and a stop in Melbourne March 6th.
Rounding out the Aussie takeover and the complete slate of KNOTFEST Australia Sideshows, Bay Area hardcore collective Sunami headlines Melbourne on March 4th and makes a stop in Sydney on March 5th.
