Earlier this month, Aussie hardcore practitioners Speed confirmed the July 12th arrival of their highly-anticipated full length studio album debut, Only One Mode. The Flatspot Records release bookends the band's introductory era - as they ride a tidal wave of momentum while putting on for the greater culture of hardcore on an international level.

Packaged with impassioned lyrics, powerful riffage and the kind of dynamic breakdowns that have come to define the band's sound, Speed offer the first preview of the album with a sincere ode to their robust community in "Real Life Love". For Speed, the opening track for their debut album doubled as a mission statement - a well-articulated homage to a style and sound defines them both as artists and individuals.

Sharing another selection from the album, Speed have now dropped the second serving from Only One Mode with, "The First Test". Asserting the resilience and perseverance that are among the core tenets of hardcore, the track offers personal testament to the marginalization that plagued vocalist Jem Siow. More importantly, the track frames how the music affiliated community of hardcore offer refuge and for Siow - a sense of self.

For the accompanying music video, Speed once again tapped consistent collaborators Jack Rudder and Thomas Elliot to capture the band's live volatility with the clip. Additionally, the video features an epic breakdown that showcases Jem Siow implementing the flute in a way that transforms the windwood into a tool to rally the circle pit.

Speed are currently finishing out a seismic North American tour as part of the Knocked Loose headlining run. Along with Show Me the Body and Loathe, the trek has seen has seen sold out shows nightly. Following the domestic run, Speed will then trek Europe for a stretch that will include appearances at Download Festival, the Flatspot World showcase in London, plus stops at Full Force Festival in Germany, Resurrection Fest in Spain and Hellfest in France.

Speed will then circle back to the US for a record release show in Los Angeles along with highly-touted appearances for the Have Heart reunion shows set for July on the East Coast.
