Spiritbox have again asserted their dominance with the reveal of their first offering of new music since their universally acclaimed 2025 LP, Tsunami Sea.
Showcasing sure-handed composition from guitarist Mike Stringer and a stunning vocal showing from Courtney LaPlante, "Mourning" combines sweeping melody and metalcore sheen in what marks the band's next phase following Tsunami Sea. Paired with a new music video co-directed by Alex Bemis and multi-hyphenate Mike Stringer.
The track emphasizes a more restrained, albeit no less effective side of Spiritbox. Not reliant on dramatic breakdowns and built up crescendos, the single underscores self-assured songwriting from a ban at the very top of their game.
The single lands as Spiritbox recently concluded a successful North American trek with Evanescence. The single also precedes the pending startbof the Tsunami Sea EU/UK rour with support from Jinjer and Dying Wish.
The tour marks Spiritbox's biggest UK headlining performances to date, with a date set for London’s OVO Arena Wembley. In addition Spiritbox join Metallica at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut later this fall. Spiritbox will also make a highly-anticipated Australian appearance at Good Things Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to close out the year.
