The 90’s/00’s touring party featuring DJs dropping nu-metal anthems is coming to a city near you.
Following a weekend that included a live appearance from hardcore purveyors Soul Glo as part of Furnace Fest in Alabama, Sugar: The Nu-Metal Party has announced an additional stretch of dates that extend through the fall and winter of 2023 and into the new year.
Billed as the “NU” kind of DJ night, Sugar pools together DJs and live production elements to celebrate the golden era of nu-metal, hosting parties that tap into the revelry of the late 90’s and early 2000’s boom of the subgenre.
The run of additional dates will also include a pre-party set for San Diego that will serve as a warm-up to the annual Dia De Los Deftones festival happening at PetCo Park.
“It’s always such a blast to see people of all ages and backgrounds out in the crowds, pushing each other around and screaming at the top of their lungs,” shares SUGAR DJ Brian Howe. “It’s been especially cool to see so many younger people at these events, and have some proof that this music I grew up with, and still love to this day, stands the test of time. This is a culture that still connects with kids today the same way it did when I was a teenager and it’s really awesome to play a small part in spreading the Nu-Metal gospel to a new generation.”
