PA Punk purveyors The Menzingers have announced the details of their pending full length, Everything I Ever Saw, due out July 17th via Epitaph Records. Some two decades into their career, the band navigate the weight of real life on an album produced by longtime collaborator, Will Yip. Harnessing the reality of their personal lives the music reflects a unit galvanized in their craft and shared experiences that ultimately make for great songwriting.
The band's vocalist/guitarist Tom May explained the gravity of the band's latest presentation and how the focus served to strengthen relationship between the members of The Menzingers.
“So much changed in our lives and in the world while we were making this record, and somehow, it all pulled us deeper into the band and deeper into our friendship. Twenty years in and this is the most connected we've felt to what we're doing. I'd always heard 'bigger kids, bigger problems,' and there's truth in that, but there's also bigger answers and deeper meaning. There's a kind of hard-won hope you can only find on the other side of real change. In all the uncertainty of life and the world it's easy to go straight to cynical. Easy to say fuck it all. With Everything I Ever Saw, we wanted to lean into all of it, head on. The whole damn thing.”
Along with the announcement of the new and the release date, The Menzingers have also shared the second preview from the project with the release of "Chance Encounters." Complimenting the debut of "Nobody's Heroes" which landed early this year, the singles highlight the band's blue-collar eloquence that emphasize skilled songwriting and the articulate pen of punk.
Performing in support of the arrival of Everything I Ever Saw, The Menzingers are due to take on several festival appearances both domestic and international, including confirmed dates on the Vans Warped Tour as well as Slam Dunk Festival in the UK next month. See a list of dates and cities below.
