Ahead of the band's highly-anticipated live return to the West Coast with their weekend appearance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, thrash pillars Slayer have announced the opening of Slaytanic Verses - a digital museum dedicated entirely to the history and heft of one of the best bands to ever do it.
Joining forces with Definitive Authentic/Inveniem, Slayer will showcase their personal collection of artifacts and memorabilia - offering fans a rare, in-depth and comprehensive exploration into the band's more than four decade tenure.
Functioning similar to a traditional, brick and mortar museum, Slaytanic Verses will offer a rotation of exhibits boasting new collections and a variety of first-person sourced artifacts, all examining different eras of Slayer's career.
The official launch of Slaytanic Verses includes the unveiling of its first digital exhibit with the collection, 'Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today'. Taking fans back to the inception of Slayer back in Huntington Park, CA in 1981, the collection frames the band's chronology with a look backstage fwith items from shows throughout the band's career. The collection better tells the band's story and highlights Slayer's seismic live show - from the very beginning until now.
