It has been more than a year and a half since the world have experienced new music from Alexandra and Zachary James. Kicking off last year, the Satanic doo-wop duo known as Twin Temple unveiled their swanky single, “Let’s Have A Satanic Orgy” – a track that included both an English and a Spanish lyric version.

While the remainder of the year included a heavy touring slate, both in the supporting role and as a headliner, new music was still being fleshed out. Finally, the tandem have confirmed the arrival of their sophomore full length studio album, appropriately dropping on October 13th of all days.

God Is Dead is the highly-anticipated second album from Twin Temple and the first full length since their 2018 studio debut, Twin Temple (Bring You Their Signature Sound… Satanic Doo-Wop). While the band did deliver a live EP in 2020 and a two-track release in 2021, the announcement marks an important milestone in the band’s meteoric rise.

Along with the news of the album, Twin Temple has offered a preview with the release of the album’s emphatic opening track, “Burn Your Bible”. The track evoke the spirit of 60’s soul and powerhouse R&B groups like Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Supremes and The Marvelettes with the pop rock style and songwriting sensibilities the likes of Roy Orbison and Ricky Nelson.

Making their intentions especially clear with the direction of the next record, Twin Temple share their allegiance to Satan and remain un apologetically committed in both style and statement. “Despite relentless death threats and moralizing, our allegiance to Satan and the golden oldies remains unwavering.”

The continued, “‘God Is Dead’ is our most blasphemous, horny and painstakingly period-correct work to date. Saturated with the blood of babies, and forged in the ashes of burning churches, we spared no one in the making of this album. See you in Hell!”

En route to the October 13th arrival date of God Is Dead, Twin Temple with join Danizg on his upcoming tour that will see a full performance of the 1988 solo debut, Danzig I, in full. Twin Temple will also join Polish black metal disruptors Behemoth, who are also on the Danzig run, for an extended North American trek along with Midnight and Imperial Triumphant.
