Two years removed from their cinematic-concept deep dive embracing the 1960's psychological horror Giallo sub-category, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have returned with their seventh full length masterclass, Shapes of Midnight. 

The album builds on the acclaim of 2024's Nell' Ora Blu, further cementing the band's prowess as both progressives and practitioners of timeless heft. Another conceptually detailed effort, Shapes of Midnight sources the ageless macabre of Edgar Allen Poe's The Masque Of The Red Death to set the stage aesthetically for Uncle Acid's "Evil Beatles" sound signature. 

Consisting of brilliant, bleak harmonies, incendiary guitar work and layered compositions, the album was recorded to tape for an analog triumph of pure proto-metal power. Giving the project extra distinction, Shapes of Midnight was also recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios - which needs no further introduction. 

Songwriter of Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats Kevin Starrs shared of the effort, "Our albums exist in an alternate universe to our own. They're all stories that could happen here, but everything's just a bit 'off.’" Combining everything from NWOBHM, 60's era pop and heavy-synth Krautrock experimentation, Shapes of Midnight is yet another essential in the Uncle Acid cannon. 

Paired with the news of the album's September 18th release date, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have shared the title track to offer a glimpse of the genius captured on record.
