Des Moines collective Vended have delivered another unhinged showing, following the recent debut of "The Far Side" and last year's "Am I The Only One". For the band's latest single, "Nihilism" bears with it all the requisite volatility that has become signature to the band's sound - this time delivered with the kind of precision that can only come from a unit that has refined their assault.
Featuring lighting speed on percussion, the use of gang vocals and yet another convincing submission from Griffin Taylor on the mic, the track emphasizes the band's continued development as songwriters and bolstered muscle as metal musicians.
The band shared how their latest offering is a strong indication of where vended is headed, "This song represents the momentum for what’s to come, continuing with the energy from our last single. It brings that same energy and pushes the limit even more. The whole meaning of the track is to not fear what doesn’t really matter, so do what YOU want and not what you think will hold you back."
"Nihilism" arrives as the band begin their headlining EU/UK tour. The monthlong run is set to kick off May 7th in Warsaw, Poland and closes out with a finale in the UK in Reading. Set to join Vended on the pivotal run, Gloom In the Corner and Profiler will be on a support for the duration of the tour.
Additionally, Vended have added to an already busy 2024, taking on added supporting dates on the North American leg of Slipknot's 25th anniversary Here Comes the Pain Tour. Joining Knocked Loose, Vended will open the festivities for a stretch of arena dates this September, including two consecutive nights at the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and a historic homecoming for Knotfest Iowa on September 21st.
