Scottish rock band VUKOVI, known for their dynamic sound, has just unveiled their latest single, "Mercy Kill," accompanied by an enthralling video. The video, co-directed by the band's lead vocalist Janine Shilstone and Zac Pinchin, presents a visually striking narrative. Janine Shilstone explains the concept behind the video, noting, "I wanted to depict the devotion towards addiction, whether it be towards a substance or another human. You know it's dangerous but find yourself submitting to the high again and again."
VUKOVI, which translates to "wolves" in Serbian, has been making waves in the rock scene since their inception. Hailing from Scotland's West Coast, the band has gained recognition for their electrifying performances and unique sound. Their journey includes releasing three full-length albums: "Vukovi" in 2017, "Fall Better" in January 2020, and the latest, "NULA," in October 2022.
Besides "Mercy Kill," the band recently shared another single, "CREEP HEAT." This marked their first new music since "NULA" and coincided with the announcement of their signing to SharpTone Records.
VUKOVI's presence in the live music scene has been significant. They have graced numerous festivals, including Slam Dunk, Full Force Fest in Germany, and Resurrection Fest in Spain. The band has also announced their participation in upcoming prestigious events, such as the Download Festival in the UK and Welcome To Rockville in the USA in 2024, marking their live debut in the United States.
Fans can look forward to seeing VUKOVI support Babymetal on their UK tour this November and joining Nothing More for a European tour in February 2024. Additionally, a special headline show at The Electric Ballroom is scheduled for March 15th.
