Last month, metalcore lifers Wage War dropped an emphatic introduction to their next era with the arrival of "Magnetic". Marking the first reveal of new music since the band's hailed 2021 full length, Manic, the anthemic track framed the continued evolution of one of the genre's standard bearers and offered an auspicious preview of what was to come.
Now, the Florida vets have confirmed their next full length project with the news of Stigma. The highly-anticipated fifth album from the band, the Fearless Records release will arrive June 21st, further adding to what is shaping up to be a career year for Wage War.
Along with the confirmation of the new album, Wage War has shared a second preview of the project with the dynamically heavy cut, "NAIL5". Explaining the significance of the single, the band detailed how the song underscores where they have been, while illuminating where they are going stylistically.
“‘NAIL5‘ is a tribute to our fifth album and continuing to push the envelope in every way, and in this instance, the heavy side. We took the elements that we loved from our past discography and turned it all the way up. The message: You’re either in or you’re in the way.”
The announcement is coupled with Wage War's pending tour plans as they are set to embark on a spring co-headlining North American tour opposite Nothing More. Along with support from Veil of Maya and emerging prospects Sleep Theory, the ticket proves to be one of the most in-demand of the season. The spring run follows a pivotal 2023 in which the band topped their biggest touring performances to date in support of Manic.
