In the midst of a prolific 2026 run, Florida metalcore standouts Wage War will deliver their second studio release of the year with the October 9th arrival of their next LP, Landfall. The full length arrives just months after the band submitted the gargantuan EP, It Calls Me By Name which garnered widespread acclaim.
Previewed with potent singles in "Songs of the Swamp" and "Sweet Dreams," Wage War continues to build out their brand of dynamic metalcore, complete with arena-sized hooks and dramatic, devastating heft.
Unveiling the album with the release of the title track, the band again emphasizes a bit of their Floridian identity in the form natural disasters to showcase their sonic power.
The band explain, "'Landfall' is a song about imminent danger and the realization that we aren't in control. Referencing our Florida roots, the hurricane imagery became a way of talking about that feeling of being completely at the mercy of something bigger than yourself. Musically, we wanted the verses to feel heavy and threatening, with the chorus being somber and inevitable."
Trekking in support of Landfall, Wage War will set out on the Emergency Broadcast tour this fall along with support from We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill.
