En route to the October 27th release of their highly-anticipated debut LP, the team of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way have delivered yet another compelling preview of the potent project.
"Modern Love" follows the successful launch of previous singles in "Do It So Good" and the Fred Durst-assisted "Bang Ya Head" - further adding to the groundswell of momentum the duo is riding into the release of the album.
Speaking on the thematic tone of the track, the band explained the social commentary loaded onto the track
“Love is war. Modern love is war. We live in an age where we’re connected by wires and signals and satellites but we’ve never been further apart from each other. We live in a lonely period of time.
‘Modern Love‘ is our answer to the fragility and self harming nature of love in the 21st century.
This is our deranged love anthem. A true Britney moment with a Nine Inch Nails backbone running throughout, doused in Deftones inspired guitars. We’re all in love, until we’re not.”
