The fall run will include an opening set from Relapse labelmates Hoaxed and comes with the tease of new music.
Pacific Northwest black metal pillars Wolves In the Throne Room have resurfaced with news of a mammoth North American tour that pools some of the genre’s most exciting contributors. The Crypt of Ancestral Knowledge North America Tour is set to kick off September 29th in St. Louis, MO and extend 21-dates before closing out in Denver, CO on October 24th.
Confirmed to join the tour as support, Wolves In the Throne Room have sourced a brilliant one-two punch with the addition of indigenous black metal powerhouse Blackbraid and Portugal aggressors, Gaerea. Opening the trek will be follow PNW extreme metal practitioners and Relapse Records colleagues, Hoaxed.
Along with the news of the tour, Wolves In the Throne Room hinted that the run will serve as a harbinger or more to come. “At long last…Wolves in the Throne Room will bring our ritual of smoke and astral fire to North America this Fall. Main support will be provided by Blackbraid and Gaerea. The evening will open with our Relapse Records labelmates Hoaxed.”
The band added, “Our merch table will be stocked with new t-shirt designs as well as a NEW RECORDING. More information about this music will be revealed soon.”
