Unveiling the band's first offering of new music in four years, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun finds AFI indulging their post-punk sensibilities with an impressive show of range.
While AFI's hardcore punk and goth rock variations remain undeniable, the band's worship for the likes of Siouxsie & the Banshees, Echo & the Bunnymen and Sisters of Mercy anchors their newest endeavor and resonates as one of their most authentic iterations yet.
Produced by the band's own Jade Puget, Silver Bleeds The Black Sun... listens like the album the band has long wanted to make and while it is considered a significant departure from their previous work - their most devoted fans will tell you this AFI at their most AFI.
Ensuring their connection with the diehards remained as strong as ever, the band sat in for a signing/meet and greet session at Los Angeles institution Amoeba Records to celebrate the arrival of Silver Bleeds The Black Sun...
Snapping photos, speaking with fans and reaffirming deeply-rooted connection allegiance to A Fire Inside, the event proved a fitting celebration of the band's new era and an auspicious start to the Silver Bleeds The Black Sun... cycle.
Along with the arrival of the new album from AFI, the band is currently out on their headlining dates owith support from TR/ST. The tour wraps with a finale in Mexico City for a special performance on November 16th. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below. Get tickets - HERE
