In support of the recent release of their highly-anticipated twelfth full length studio album, Blood Dynasty, Swedish metal pillars Arch Enemy have commenced the North American leg of their extensive 2025 touring slate.
Showcasing selections from the band's new album, the band's headlining engagement at The Wiltern in Los Angeles offered stateside fans their very first opportunity to experience the newest entries live. Including contemporary essentials with "Dream Stealer," "A Million Suns," "Liars & Thieves" as well as the album's title track making the cut, Arch Enemy's meld of classic and contemporary played out masterfully in their near two hour clinic.
Ensuring the most diehard fans got their fill, essentials like "Ravenous," "Dead Bury Their Dead" and the anthemic "We Will Rise" drew some of the biggest pops from the crowd on the night - though the modern-leaning setlist proved no less effective with room of AE faithful. Sourcing from 2022's Deceivers LP along with 2017's Will To Power, Arch Enemy's agenda to emphasis their most recent efforts proved successful as every track seemed to ramp up the energy in the room.
Closing the show with an encore that included some of the band's deeper cuts like "Snow Bound" from the Wages of Sin era, "Nemesis" from the Doomsday Machine LP from 2006 and "Fields of Desolation from pre-2000s Arch Enemy, the Swedes asserted a performative savvy indicative of their veteran status and thorough knowledge of their crowd.
Bolstering by an outstanding supporting roster with incendiary warm-up sets from Fit For An Autopsy, BAEST and Thrown Into Exile - the beginning of the Blood Dynasty is off to an auspicious start.
