Deathcore stalwarts Carnifex completed their national campaign, closing out their summer stretch of live dates marking the 15th anniversary of their seminal third album, Hell Chose Me.
Closing out with a close-to-home finale at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, Carnifex asserted the shelf life of the menacing soundtrack that arrived via Victory Records back in 2010, delivered with modernized edge that flexed spectacle, skill and the kind of staying power that has made the band a pillar of genre.
In addition to the essentials from the Hell Chose Me era, Carnifex asserted their rank with a strong assembly of support, underscoring the band's reach. From death metal vets in Suffocation to buzzworthy firebrands in Distant as well as thriving, young aggressors in Bodybox and Monochromatic Black - the Hell Chose Me Tour managed to revisit the storied history or Carnifex and their progression into the current era.
