Slipknot set a spectacular precedent for the kickoff of their Here Comes the Pain 25th anniversary with the kind of set in Noblesville, Indiana that was one for the books.
With frontman Corey Taylor declaring that the audience was about to hear nothing that was written after 1999, the generational retrospective played out in real time and resonated as especially relevant despite the lengthy shelf life of the songs.
For context, the only self-titled track not performed was "Diluted" though the band more than made up for it adding "Get This" alongside "Me Inside", tracks that weren't even on the original issue but were featured on variants.
The band also included a handful of songs that hadn't been performed in several years, mainly "No Life" and the finale in "Scissors" - both of which hadn't been featured in a Slipknot setlist since the band's 2000 touring cycle.
