Robb Flynn and company run the gamut from classic to current on their trek with Lacuna Coil, In Flames and Unearth. 

Enduring Bay Area metallic powerhouse Machine Head continues to steamroll en route to the arrival of their eleventh studio album, Unatøned. 

Taking on the production of the album, the inimitable Robb Flynn led the charge, working with collaborator Zack Ohren to share the oversight and handle the engineering. Recorded from the timespan of July 2023 into December of last year, Unatøned was spurned on by Machine Head's triumphant return to worldwide touring and the mainstages globally - a run the band had paused from for more than a decade. 

Back at full strength, Machine Head lead an impressive return to form at the helm of their current North American headlining tour. Compiling a set list that reaches back to the band's iconic LPs, including Burn My Eyes, The Burning Red and Supercharger, Robb Flynn asserted his unmatched command, rallying the fans packed into The Wiltern to erupt with each entry. 

While the classics drew a powerful pop from the crowd, even the band's more contemporary cuts hit the mark. Tracks like "CHØKE ON YOUR ASHES OF HATE" and "NØ GODS, NØ MASTERS" from the ØF KINGDOM and CRØWN LP drew a roar as Flynn and his compatriots laid waste to the Los Angeles faithful. Among the highlights on the night included the collaboration track which featured the entirety of the touring party - Lacuna Coil, In Flames and Unearth in the mammoth, "THESE SCARS WØN'T DEFINE US."

Bolstered by the kind of well-built tour package that featured exceptional showings from Lacuna Coil, Swedish melodic metal pillars In Flames and the ever-explosive Unearth, Machine Head cemented their position as both a legends and contemporaries. With decades in their tenure, Machine Head live offers evidence that best from the band might still be yet to come.
