Pierce the Veil set a precedent for 2023, releasing their fifth album, The Jaws of Life back in February and never looked back. Marking the band's first studio effort in seven years, the success of singles like "Pass the Nirvana" and "Emergency Contact" fueled the strength of the album - resonating well with fans both old and new.

That effectiveness would carry over as the band began an extensive touring stretch that included an important spring co-headlining trek with The Used in the Creative Control Tour. That would only create a groundswell of momentum for Pierce the Veil, as the band confirmed their fall domestic headlining run supporting the album with The Jaws of Life Tour.

Enlisting a stellar supporting ensemble that featured supergroup L.S. Dunes as well as emerging sensations Destroy Boys and Dayseeker, Pierce the Veil was primed to close out a pivotal year in their career with powerful punctuation.

The 22-date stretch showcased Pierce the Veil operating at their prime with a set that leaned into the band's latest era. Tracks like "Death of An Executioner" and "So Far So Fake" evoked the same pop from the fans as staples like "Besitos", "May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep" and "A Match Into Water".

Among the most memorable highlights, songs like the album's title track along with the live finale of Pierce the Veil's biggest hit, "King For A Day" served as a bridge - signaling the band's wherewithal in being able to link their back catalog with their contemporary sound.

The Jaws of Life restored the vigor in Pierce the Veil and their fall headlining tour proved as such. See the gallery of images below from photographer @ras_Visual during the Des Moines, IA stop of the tour.
