The annual Metal Allegiance show has become tradition this time or year and serves as part of the ceremonies of NAMM Weekend. The supergroup led by architect Mark Menghi and consisting of legendary players in Alex Skolnick, David Ellefson, Mike Portnoy held court at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA for a night that celebrated all things heavy. 

Welcoming a rotation of special guests that kept fans on the floor buzzing, greats like William Duvall of Alice In Chains, Troy Sanders of Mastodon, Chuck Billy of Testament and Alissa White-Gluz formerly of Arch Enemy each stepped into the spotlight to take on classic renditions ranging from Megadeth, Soundgarden and Sepultura. In addition, the supergroup debuted an original track, "Black Horizon: with William Duvall that notched an important highlight on the night. 

Additional appearances from the likes Andreas Kisser of Sepultura, Phil Demmel, John Bush and Doc Coyle made for a heavy metal roll call that ensured hit after hit. Appropriately closing the show with a pair of tunes offering tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, the collective took on a rendition of "Fairies Wear Boots" and followed with the finale in "Crazy Train" that brought every guest back to the stage for one last rip.
